[Machine] "We used to cultivate the land, then we would give away one-third, one-fourth, and the named food. Then we were commanded to sow it or have it sown, and disliked its rental. And that is all."  

الطبراني:٤٢٧٨حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ يَعْلَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ بَعْدُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ فَقَالَ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

«كُنَّا نُحَاقِلُ الْأَرْضَ فَنُكْرِيهَا عَلَى الثُّلُثِ وَالرُّبُعِ وَالطَّعَامِ الْمُسَمَّى فَأَمَرَنَا بِالْأَرْضِ أَنْ نَزْرَعَهَا أَوْ نُزْرِعَهَا وَكَرِهَ كِرَاءَهَا وَمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ»
