[Machine] He is called a companion who came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my family angers me, so how should I punish them?" He ﷺ said, "Forgive." He repeated it twice, until he said it three times, then he said, "But if you punish, then punish according to the sin and be cautious of excessive punishment."  

الطبراني:٢١٣٠حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ أَنَّ أَسَدَ بْنَ وَدَاعَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا

يُقَالُ لَهُ جُزْءٌ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَهْلِي يُغْضِبُونِي فَبِمَ أُعَاقِبُهُمْ؟ فَقَالَ «تَعْفُو» ثُمَّ قَالَ الثَّانِيَةَ حَتَّى قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا قَالَ «فَإِنْ عَاقَبْتَ فَعَاقِبْ بِقَدْرِ الذَّنْبِ وَاتَّقِ الْوَجْهَ»
