مَنْ يُكَنَّى أَبَا هِلَالٍ أَبُو هِلَالٍ التَّيْمِيُّ

[Machine] He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the company of a man from his people, while he was in Medina after his migration to it. So, we presented him, striking the necks of the prisoners with a little water. He was killed on him until the water became covered with blood. Safwan said, "Safaha means he covered the water".  

الطبراني:١٩٢٤٢حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ووَرْدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ قَالَا ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنَ هِلَالٍ مِنْ بَنِي تَيْمِ اللهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ وَهُوَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ بَعْدَ مُهَاجَرِهِ إِلَيْهَا فَوَافَيْنَاهُ يَضْرِبُ أَعْنَاقَ أُسَارَى عَلَى مَاءٍ قَلِيلٍ فَقُتِلَ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى سَفَحَ الدَّمُ الْمَاءَ قَالَ صَفْوَانُ سَفَحَ يَعْنِي غَطَّى الْمَاءَ
