[Machine] The companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to recite poetry to each other, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would listen.  

الطبراني:١٩١٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبَاهِلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا صِلَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

«كَانَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَتَنَاشَدُونَ الشِّعْرَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْمَعُ»
