[Machine] His grandfather was Mazen ibn Khaythamah and Wahbeel ibn Ka'b was one of the Bani Mazen. They were sent by Muadh ibn Jabal on the day he arrived between the Sakoon and Sakaasik tribes. They fought until the people surrendered and entered the fold of Islam and became followers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . "So he brought peace between the Sakoon and Sakaasik tribes."  

الطبراني:١٧٩٩٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ ثَوْرِ بْنِ مَازِنٍ

أَنَّ جَدَّهُ مَازِنَ بْنَ خَيْثَمَةَ وَهَبِيلَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ أَحَدُ بَنِي مَازِنٍ بَعَثَهُمَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ يَوْمَ نَزَلَ بَيْنَ السَّكُونِ وَالسَّكَاسِكِ وَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى أَسْلَمَ النَّاسُ وَافِدَيْنَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «فآخَى بَيْنَ السَّكُونِ وَالسَّكَاسِكِ»
