[Machine] "I saw him lying on his bed, cold and Aban ibn Uthman, the governor of Madinah, prayed over him. Jabir ibn Abdullah passed away at the age of ninety-four, and he was called Abu Abdullah. May Allah have mercy on him, his sight had gone."  

الطبراني:١٧٣٣حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَخْرَمُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ بَهْرَامَ الْمَدَائِنِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ قَالَ مَاتَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَسَبْعِينَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي خَارِجَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ بُرْدًا وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ أَبَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ وَهُوَ وَالِي الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَاتَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعٍ وَتِسْعِينَ وَكَانَ يُكْنَى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ وَكَانَ قَدْ ذَهَبَ بَصَرُهُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ»
