[Machine] Tamim al-Dari sought permission from Umar with regards to a matter, but Umar refused to grant him permission. Tamim al-Dari sought his permission again, but Umar still refused. Tamim al-Dari sought his permission for a third time, and Umar said, "If you wish," while motioning with his hand, indicating the act of slaughter.  

الطبراني:١٢٤٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ

أَنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرَ فِي الْقَصَصِ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَهُ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَهُ فَقَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ» يَعْنِي الذَّبْحَ
