[Machine] He and a man from the Quraysh tribe were performing ablution from the water of the mosque. They disputed about wiping over the socks, so Bilal said, "The Prophet ﷺ used to wipe over the top parts of his socks and his headscarf."  

الطبراني:١١٠٨حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْكِنَانِيِّ قَالَ

كَانَ هُوَ وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَتَوَضَّآنِ مِنْ مَطْهَرَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَازَعَا فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْمُوقَيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ»
