Adam was a Prophet and there were 315 Messengers

I asked the Prophet ﷺ: Which of the prophets was first?" He said, "Ādam."' I said: "Was he a prophet? He said, "Yes, ˹he was˺ a prophet who was spoken to ˹by Allāh˺." I said: Then, how many messengers ˹were there˺?" He said, "Three hundred and fifteen: a large quantity."

السيوطي:٦٢٢-٣bعن أبي ذرّ

قُلتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَيُّ الأَنْبِيَاءِ أَوَّلُ؟ قَالَ: آدَمُ، قُلتُ: أوَ نَبِيًّا كَانَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، نَبِيٌّ مُكَلَّمٌ، قُلتُ: فَكَم الْمُرسُّلِينَ؟ قَالَ: ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ وَخَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ، جَمًّا غَفِيرًا۔
