I asked: Messenger of Allah! will each one of us see his Lord? Ibn Mu'adh's version has: "being alone with Him, on the Day of Resurrection? And what sign is there is His creation?" He replied: AbuRazin! does each one of you not see the moon? Ibn Mu'adh's version has: "on the night when it is full, being alone with it?" Then the agreed version goes: I said: Yes. He said: Allah is more great. Ibn Mu'adh's version has: It is only part of Allah's creation, but Allah is more glorious and greater.

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَكُلُّنَا يَرَى رَبَّهُ قَالَ ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ مُخْلِيًا بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ قَالَ يَا أَبَا رَزِينٍ أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَرَى الْقَمَرَ قَالَ ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ مُخْلِيًا بِهِ ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ فَاللَّهُ أَعْظَمُ قَالَ ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ خَلْقٌ مِنْ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ فَاللَّهُ أَجَلُّ وَأَعْظَمُ

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, will we see Allah on the Day of Resurrection? And what is the sign of that in His creation?' He said: 'O Abu Razin, do each of you not see the moon individually?' I said: 'Of course.' He said: 'Allah is Greater, and that is His sign in His creation.'"

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَكُلُّنَا يَرَى اللَّهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ قَالَ يَا أَبَا رَزِينٍ أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَرَى الْقَمَرَ مُخْلِيًا بِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ فَاللَّهُ أَعْظَمُ وَذَلِكَ آيَتُهُ فِي خَلْقِهِ

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, will we see Allah on the Day of Resurrection? And what is the sign of that in His creation?' He said: 'O Abu Razin, do each of you not see the moon individually?' قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَكُلُّنَا يَرَى اللهَ ﷻ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ؟ قَالَ يَا أَبَا رَزِينٍ أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَرَى الْقَمَرَ مُخْلِيًا بِهِ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَاللهُ أَعْظَمُ

[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah, "Do we eat the provision that Allah sees?" He replied, "Abdul Rahman, how can we see our Lord on the Day of Judgment? And what is the sign of that in His creation?" So I said, "Don't all of you look at the moon, hanging in the sky?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Indeed, it is greater."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ بَهْزٌ أَكُلُّنَا يَرَى رَبَّهُ ﷻ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ كَيْفَ نَرَى رَبَّنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ؟ فَقَالَ أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ مُخْلِيًا بِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ أَعْظَمُ

[AI] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, will we eat and still see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? And what is the proof of that in His creation?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Do you not all look at the moon when it is full?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Allah is greater than that." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, how does Allah bring the dead to life, and what is the proof of that in His creation?" He said, "Have you not passed by a barren valley?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Have you not seen it become green and lush?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Just as Allah brings life to the dead through this, it is a sign of His creation."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَكُلُّنَا يَرَى رَبَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ مُخْلِيًا؟» فَقَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ «فَاللَّهُ أَعْظَمُ» قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْيِي اللَّهُ الْمَوْتَى وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ؟ قَالَ «أَمَا مَرَرْتَ بِوَادِي أَهْلِكَ مَحْلًا؟» قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ «ثُمَّ مَرَرْتَ بِهِ يَهْتَزُّ خَضِرًا؟» قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ «فَكَذَلِكَ يُحْيِي اللَّهُ الْمَوْتَى وَذَلِكَ آيَتُهُ فِي خَلْقِهِ»

[AI] We said, "O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? And what is the evidence for that in His creation?" He said, "Do you not all see the shining moon?". We said, "Yes". He said, "Then Allah is greater".

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَكُلُّنَا يَرَى رَبَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ؟ قَالَ «أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَرَى الْقَمَرَ مَجْلِيًّا بِهِ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَاللهُ أَعْظَمُ»

[AI] I said, "O Prophet of Allah, will we see our Lord?" He said, "Yes." I asked, "And what is the evidence of this in His creation?" He said, "Is it not that all of you look at the moon on a full moon night? And indeed, it is a creation from the creations of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest and Most Honorable."

قُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَكُلُّنَا نَرَى رَبَّنَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قُلْتُ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ؟ قَالَ «أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ؟ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ خَلْقٌ مِنْ خَلَقِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَعْظَمُ وَأَجَلُّ»
