I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There is no divination but the best type is the good omen. It was said to Messenger of Allah ﷺ: What is good omen? Thereupon he said: A good word which one of you hears. (Using translation from Muslim 2223a)

ابن حبّان:٦١٢٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى بِعَسْكَرِ مُكْرَمٍ وَكَانَ عَسِرًا نَكِدًا قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا طِيَرَةَ وَخَيْرُ الْفَأْلِ الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ»
