The Prophet ﷺ heard a man reciting the Qur'an in the mosque and said, "May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such a Surah."

سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلاً يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا آيَةً مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man reciting the Qur'an at night, and said, "May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such-and-such Suras, which I was caused to forget."

سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَجُلاً يَقْرَأُ فِي سُورَةٍ بِاللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا آيَةً كُنْتُ أُنْسِيتُهَا مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا

The Prophet ﷺ heard a reciter reciting, the Qur'an in the mosque at night. The Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has remind ed me of such-and-such Verses of such and-such Suras, which I missed!"

سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَارِئًا يَقْرَأُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا آيَةً أَسْقَطْتُهَا مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا

The Prophet ﷺ heard a man reciting (the Qur'an) in the mosque. He said," May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he made me remember such and-such Verse which I had missed in such-and-such Sura."

سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلاً يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا آيَةً أَسْقَطْتُهَا فِي سُورَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا

May Allah show mercy to him; he has reminded me of such and such a verse which I had missed in such and such a surah.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ رَجُلاً يَقْرَأُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا آيَةً كُنْتُ أَسْقَطْتُهَا مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا

May Allah have mercy upon him; be reminded me of the verse which I had been made to forget.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَسْتَمِعُ قِرَاءَةَ رَجُلٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي آيَةً كُنْتُ أُنْسِيتُهَا

A man got up at night and recited the Qur'an in a loud voice. When the dawn came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: May Allah have mercy on so-and-so who reminded me many verses that I had nearly forgotten. Abu Dawud said: Harun al-Nahwi transmitted from Hammad b. Salamah the Quranic verse of Surah Al-'Imran: "How many of the prophet fought (in Allah's way)" (3:146)

أَنَّ رَجُلاً قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَرَأَ فَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ فُلاَنًا كَأَيِّنْ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَذْكَرَنِيهَا اللَّيْلَةَ كُنْتُ قَدْ أَسْقَطْتُهَا

A man got up (for prayer) at night, he read the Qur'an and raised his voice in reading. When the morning came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: May Allah have mercy on so-and-so! Last night he reminded me a number of verses which I was about to forget.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَرَأَ فَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ فُلاَنًا كَائِنٌ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَذْكَرَنِيهَا اللَّيْلَةَ كُنْتُ قَدْ أَسْقَطْتُهَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ heard a man reciting a verse, so he said "May Allah have mercy on him, for he reminded me of a verse that I had forgotten."

سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ آيَةً فَقَالَ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي آيَةً كُنْتُ نُسِّيتُهَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ heard a man reciting a verse, so he said, "May Allah have mercy on him, that verse reminded me of one that I had forgotten."

سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ آيَةً فَقَالَ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ لَقَدْ ذَكَّرَنِي آيَةً كُنْتُ أُنْسِيتُهَا

سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَيْلًا فَقَالَ «لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ آيَةٍ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَسْقَطْهُنَّ مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "May Allah have mercy on so-and-so, like any verse that reminded me of it tonight, which I have forgotten."

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْحَمُ اللهُ فُلَانًا كَأَيِّنْ مِنْ آيَةٍ ذَكَّرَنِيهَا اللَّيْلَةَ كُنْتُ أَسْقَطْتُهَا
