When they were sitting near it  

when they sat by it, around the edge of the ditch on chairs,
القرآن:٨٥:٦ –

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ  

{إذ هم عليها} حولها على جانب الأخدود على الكراسي {قعود}.
