[Machine] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ one night in a red clothing, and I was contemplating looking at him and at the moon, but he appeared more beautiful to me than the moon." Abu Abdur-Rahman said to us, "This is incorrect, the correct version is the one before it. And Ashaath is weak."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٩٥٦٢أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْثَرَ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ كُوفِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي لَيْلَةٍ فِي حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ وَإِلَى الْقَمَرِ فَلَهُوَ أَحْسَنُ عِنْدِي مِنَ الْقَمَرِ» قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ وَأَشْعَثُ ضَعِيفٌ
