[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , never struck any of his wives, never whipped a servant, and never hit anything with his hand, except in the way of Allah or when the sanctities of Allah were violated, in which case he sought revenge for the sake of Allah.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٩١١٩أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«مَا ضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ امْرَأَةً لَهُ قَطُّ وَلَا جَلَدَ خَادِمًا لَهُ قَطُّ وَلَا ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ إِلَّا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ تُنْتَهَكُ مَحَارِمُ اللهِ فَيَنْتَقِمُ لِلَّهِ»
