"When Khamr was forbidden, their drink was (made from) unripe dates and dried dates." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5543)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥٠٣٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

«حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ حِينَ حُرِّمَتْ وَإِنَّهُ لَشَرَابُهُمُ الْبُسْرُ وَالتَّمْرُ»
