[Machine] He entered upon Abu Musa while he was the governor of Basra during sunset and found him eating dates and ripe dates. He (Abu Musa) said, "Didn't you fast?" He said, "Are you ordering me to pour out my blood while I am fasting?"  

الكبرى للنسائي:٣٢٠١أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ

أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى وَهُوَ أَمِيرٌ عَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ عِنْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَوَجَدَهُ يَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا وَكَامِخًا قَالَ احْتَجَمْتُ قَالَ أَلَا احْتَجَمْتَ نَهَارًا؟ قَالَ «تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أُهَرِيقَ دَمِي وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ؟»
