وَقَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِذْ جَعَلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْحَمِيَّةَ} [الفتح: 26]

nasai-kubra:11441Ibrāhīm b. Saʿīd > Shabābah b. Sawwār > Abū Zabr ʿAbdullāh b. al-ʿAlāʾ b. Zabr > Busr b. ʿUbaydullāh > Abū Idrīs > Ubay b. Kaʿb

[Machine] He used to read, "When those who disbelieved had put in their hearts animosity - the animosity of ignorance." [Al-Fath 26]. And if you (Muslims) had been much and well to put up with (on the day of the conquest of Makkah), surely, the holy Mosque (Kaba) would have been destroyed. So Allah saved it from them and also the Prophet ﷺ informed about it. Then Umar added, "You surely know that I used to go in to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ask him about the Qur'an and learn from what Allah had taught him." Umar said, "Nay, but you are a man, having knowledge and the Qur'an. Therefore, read it and learn from what Allah has taught you and his Messenger."
