قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالًا} [الكهف: 103]

[Machine] About this verse "Say, shall we inform you of the greatest losers in their deeds?" [Surah Al-Kahf 103], are they the haruriyya (a sect)? He said, no, they are the People of the Book. As for the Jews, they disbelieved in Muhammad ﷺ , and the Christians disbelieved in Paradise. They said, it does not contain food or drink, but rather the haruriyya, who Allah ﷻ said, "And they prevent what Allah has ordered to be sustained and they corrupt on the earth." [Surah Al-Baqarah 27], they are the corrupt ones, he said, "Thus I have memorized it, Saad used to call them the corrupt ones."  

الكبرى للنسائي:١١٢٥١ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبِي

عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالًا} [الكهف 103] أَهُمُ الْحَرُورِيَّةُ؟ قَالَ لَا هُمْ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَمَّا الْيَهُودُ فَكَفَرُوا بِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَأَمَّا النَّصَارَى فَكَفَرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ قَالُوا لَيْسَ فِيهَا طَعَامٌ وَلَا شَرَابٌ وَلَكِنَّ الْحَرُورِيَّةَ الَّذِينَ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللهُ بِهِ أَنْ يُوَصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ} [البقرة 27] إِلَى الْفَاسِقِينَ قَالَ يَزِيدُ هَكَذَا حَفِظْتُ كَانَ سَعْدٌ يُسَمِّيهِمُ الْفَاسِقِينَ

I asked my father, "Was the Verse:-- 'Say: (O Muhammad) Shall We tell you the greatest losers in respect of their deeds?'(18.103) revealed regarding Al-Haruriyya?" He said, "No, but regarding the Jews and the Christians, for the Jews disbelieved Muhammad and the Christians disbelieved in Paradise and say that there are neither meals nor drinks therein. Al- Hururiyya are those people who break their pledge to Allah after they have confirmed that they will fulfill it, and Saʿd used to call them 'Al-Fasiqin (evildoers who forsake Allah's obedience).

سَأَلْتُ أَبِي {قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالاً} هُمُ الْحَرُورِيَّةُ قَالَ لاَ هُمُ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى أَمَّا الْيَهُودُ فَكَذَّبُوا مُحَمَّدًا ﷺ وَأَمَّا النَّصَارَى كَفَرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ وَقَالُوا لاَ طَعَامَ فِيهَا وَلاَ شَرَابَ وَالْحَرُورِيَّةُ الَّذِينَ يَنْقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مِيثَاقِهِ وَكَانَ سَعْدٌ يُسَمِّيهِمُ الْفَاسِقِينَ

"عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبِى، عَنْ هذه الآيَة {قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالًا (103) الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا} (*) أَهُمْ الْحَرُورِيَّةُ؟ قَالَ: لَا، هُمْ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ اليَهُودُ والنَّصَارَى، أَمَّا اليَهُودُ فَكَذَّبُوا بِمُحَمَّدٍ، وَأَمَّا النَّصَارَى فَكَفَرُوا بالْجَنَّةِ، فَقَالُوا: لَيْسَ فِيهَا طَعَامٌ وَلَا شَرَابٌ، وَلَكِنَّ الحَرُورِيّةَ الَّذِينَ يَنْقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مِيثَاقِهِ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللهُ بِهِ أَنْ يُوصَلَ، وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى الأَرْضِ أُوَلئكِ هُمُ الخَاسِرُونَ، وَكَانَ سَعْدٌ يُسَمِّيهِم الفَاسِقِينَ".
