Shuʿbah said, "I had met Shahr then abandoned transmitting from him."  

مسلم:i٠٣٢ – وَحَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ قَالَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ

وَقَدْ لَقِيتُ شَهْرًا فَلَمْ أَعْتَدَّ بِهِ
