The supplication of the servant is granted in case he does not supplicate for sin or for severing the ties of blood, or he does not become impatient. It was said: Messenger of Allah, what does:" If he does not grow impatient" imply? He said: That he should say like this: I supplicated and I supplicated but I did not find it being responded. and theu he becomes frustrated and abandons supplication. Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The supplication of any of you is answered as long as he does not make supplication for something which is a wrong action or cutting off ties of kinship or become impatient and say, 'I made supplication and was not answered,' and so he stops making supplication.'"  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُسْتَجَابُ لأَحَدِكُمْ مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ أَوْ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ أَوْ يَسْتَعْجِلَ فَيَقُولُ دَعَوْتُ فَلاَ أَرَى يَسْتَجِيبُ لِي فَيَدَعُ الدُّعَاءَ  

" لا يَزالُ يُسْتَجابُ للعبد مَا لمْ يَدْعُ بِإثْمٍ أوْ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ، مَا لمْ يَسْتَعْجِل يَقُولُ: قَدْ دعوتُ، وَقدْ دعوتُ: فلمْ أرَ يُستجابُ، فَيَسْتَحْسِرُ عند ذَلِكَ ويدع الدعاء".
