She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "When one of you stops at a place, let him say:

āʿūdhu bi-kalimāt Allāhi al-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq

(I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created. Then nothing will harm him until he departs from it.)"

He said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah, how I suffered from a scorpion that stung me last night! He said: "If only you had said when evening came upon you: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, it would not have harmed you."
