This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn Munkadir with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.  

مسلم:٢٥٩١b – حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ فِي هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَ مَعْنَاهُ غَيْرَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ بِئْسَ أَخُو الْقَوْمِ وَابْنُ الْعَشِيرَةِ
