" There came a person to Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was with him, and he asked him about picking up of a stray article, and he said: When none comes to demand it, then spend that."
أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ قَالَ وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَإِذَا لَمْ يَأْتِ لَهَا طَالِبٌ فَاسْتَنْفِقْهَا
[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was with him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I found a lost item." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Inform about it for a year, and if no one claims it, then spend it (for yourself)."
أَتَى رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اللُّقَطَةُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ لَمْ يَأْتِ لَهَا طَالِبٌ فَاسْتَنْفِقْهَا»
[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I was with him. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with this extra money?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Identify it for a year, and if no one comes seeking it, then spend it."
أَتَى رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اللُّقَطَةُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ لَمْ يَأْتِ لَهَا طَالِبٌ فَاسْتَنْفِقْهَا»
[Machine] "A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was with him, and he said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I found a lost object.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Inform about it for a year, and if no one claims it, then you may spend it.'"
