أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ عَنِ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَعَنِ الاِحْتِبَاءِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ يُفْضِي بِفَرْجِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ

ibnmajah:3559Abū Bakr > Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah > al-Zuhrī > ʿAṭāʾ b. Yazīd al-Laythī > Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that the Prophet ﷺ forbade two kinds of dress. Those two types of dress are Ishtimalus- Samma’* and Ihtiba’ in a single garment, with no part of it upon his private part.**

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ فَأَمَّا اللِّبْسَتَانِ فَاشْتِمَالُ الصَّمَّاءِ وَالاِحْتِبَاءُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ لَيْسَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited wearing tight clothing and for a man to gather his clothes in a way that the opening of his private parts is exposed towards the sky.  

أحمد:١٠١٩٠حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُبْسِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَأَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ يُفْضِي بِفَرْجِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, forbade wearing two garments at once, so that there is nothing between one's private parts and the sky. He also forbade wearing the saummah, which was a specific type of garment worn by Jewish people.
