The Prophet ﷺ got the date palm trees of the tribe of Bani-An-Nadir burnt and the trees cut down at a place called Al-Buwaira . Hassan bin Thabit said in a poetic verse: "The chiefs of Bani Lu'ai found it easy to watch fire spreading at Al-Buwaira."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ حَرَّقَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَقَطَعَ وَهْىَ الْبُوَيْرَةُ وَلَهَا يَقُولُ حَسَّانُ وَهَانَ عَلَى سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَىٍّ حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرٌ

It was easy for the nobles of Quraish to burn Buwaira whose sparks were flying in all directions, in the same connection was revealed the Qur'anic verse:" Whatever trees you have cut down or left standing on their trunks."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَطَعَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَحَرَّقَ وَلَهَا يَقُولُ حَسَّانُ وَهَانَ عَلَى سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَىٍّ حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرُ وَفِي ذَلِكَ نَزَلَتْ { مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَى أُصُولِهَا} الآيَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حَرَّقَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَقَطَعَ وَلَهُ يَقُولُ حَسَّانُ «لَهَانَ عَلَى سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَيٍّ حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ burned some palm trees of Banu Nadir and cut down some, and it was said that there is a poem [in regards] to that [incident]. And it was a relatively simple matter for Bani Luay to handle a fire in Al-Buwaira, but you all ignored it and left your homes unprotected, while the power of the tribe [of Banu Luay] was strong and blazing.

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَرَّقَ بَعْضَ نَخْلِ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَقَطَعَ بَعْضًا وَقِيلَ فِي ذَلِكَ شِعْرٌ [البحر الوافر] وَهَانَ عَلَى سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَيٍّ حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرُ تَرَكْتُمْ قِدْرَكُمْ لَا شَيْءَ فِيهَا وَقِدْرُ الْقَوْمِ حَامِيَةٌ تَفُورُ
