"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah has taken me as a close friend (Khalil) as He took Ibrahim as a close friend. So my house and the house of Ibrahim will be opposite to one another on the Day of Resurrection, and 'Abbas will be in between us, a believer between two close friends.'" (Maudu')

ابن ماجة:١٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اتَّخَذَنِي خَلِيلاً كَمَا اتَّخَذَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلاً فَمَنْزِلِي وَمَنْزِلُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تِجَاهَيْنِ وَالْعَبَّاسُ بَيْنَنَا مُؤْمِنٌ بَيْنَ خَلِيلَيْنِ

السيوطي:٤٦٢١a –

"إِن اللهَ اتخذَنِي خلِيلا كمَا اتخذَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خلِيلا. فمَنزِلِى ومنزلُ إِبراهيمَ في الجنةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تِجَاهين، والعباس بَينَنَا مُؤمِن بَينَ خَلِيلينِ".

[هـ] ابن ماجة والحاكم في الكنى, وأبو نعيم في فضائل الصحابة, ابن شاهين في السنة عن ابن عَمْرو، (قال ابن شاهين: وهذه فضيلة تفرَّدَ بها العباس ليست لغيره)
