ذِكْرُ السَّبَبِ الَّذِي مِنْ أَجْلِهِ قَالَ ﷺ مَا وَصَفْنَاهُ

[Machine] He said, Umar bin Al-Khattab entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while there were women from the Quraysh speaking to him and raising their voices. When they heard Umar's voice, they stopped talking and remained silent. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and said, "O Umayyad women, they frighten me but do not frighten the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said to Umar, "O Umar, whenever Satan finds a path, except your path, he takes it."  

ابن حبّان:٦٨٩٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ بِخَبَرٍ غَرِيبٍ غَرِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ دَخَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُ نِسْوَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَسَلْنَهُ وَيَسْتَكْثِرْنَهُ رَافِعَاتٍ أَصْوَاتَهُنَّ فَلَمَّا سَمِعْنَ صَوْتَ عُمَرَ انْقَمَعْنَ وَسَكَتْنَ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا عُدَيَّاتِ أَنْفُسِهِنَّ تَهَبْنَنِي وَلَا تَهَبْنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا عُمَرُ مَا لَقِيَكَ الشَّيْطَانُ سَالِكًا فَجًّا إِلَّا سَلَكَ فَجًّا غَيْرَ فَجِّكَ»

[Machine] Umar ibn Al-Khattab entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was with some women from the Quraysh who were asking him questions and speaking loudly. When they heard Umar's voice, they immediately became quiet. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed and said to Umar, "O enemies of yourselves! They obey me and not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" They replied, "Indeed, you are more strict and severe than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "O Umar, whenever the Shaytan sees you taking a path, he takes a different path except for your path."  

أحمد:١٥٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَهَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ قَالَ هَاشِمٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِيصَالِحُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

دَخَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُ نِسْوَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَسْأَلْنَهُ وَيَسْتَكْثِرْنَ رَافِعَاتٍ أَصْوَاتَهُنَّ فَلَمَّا سَمِعْنَ صَوْتَ عُمَرَ انْقَمَعْنَ وَسَكَتْنَ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا عَدُوَّاتِ أَنْفُسِهِنَّ تَهَبْنَنِي وَلا تَهَبْنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقُلْنَ إِنَّكَ أَفَظُّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَغْلَظُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا عُمَرُ مَا لَقِيَكَ الشَّيْطَانُ سَالِكًا فَجًّا إِلا سَلَكَ فَجًّا غَيْرَ فَجِّكَ
