ذِكْرُ مَا كَانَ ضِجَاعُ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ

[Machine] "The mattress of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was made of palm fibers," she said. "During the month, we used to only have two things to eat: black dates and water, until our neighbors sent us some of their leftover soup."  

ابن حبّان:٦٣٦١أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ ابْنِ أَخِي الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بِالْبَصْرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«كَانَ ضِجَاعُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهُ لِيفٌ» قَالَتْ «وَكَانَ يَأْتِي عَلَيْنَا الشَّهْرُ مَا نَسْتَوْقِدُ نَارًا إِنَّمَا هُمَا الْأَسْوَدَانِ التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ إِلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ إِلَيْنَا جِيرَانٌ لَنَا بِغَزِيرَةِ شَاتِهِمْ»
