ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَ الْمَرْءُ امْرَأَتَهُ فِي حَيْضِهَا دُونَ طُهْرِهَا

ibnhibban:4264ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Mūsá > Wahbb. Baqiyyah > Hushaym > Abū Bishr > Saʿīd b. Jubayr > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] I divorced my wife while she was menstruating. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ responded to me, "This divorce still counts until you divorce her while she is in a state of purity."  

ابن حبّان:٤٢٦٤أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

طَلَّقْتُ امْرَأَتِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ «فَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى طَلَّقْتُهَا وَهِيَ طَاهِرٌ»

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he divorced his wife when she was menstruating, but the Messenger of Allah told him to take her back, and divorce her when she was pure (not menstruating).
