[Machine] I sat with Abu Hanifa in Mecca when a man came to him and said, "I wore two socks while in a state of Ihram," or he said, "I wore trousers while in a state of Ihram, doubting whether Ibrahim ﷺ did the same." Abu Hanifa said to him, "You owe a penalty." I then asked the man, "Did you find sandals or did you find a lower garment?" He replied, "No." I said, "O Abu Hanifa, this man claims that he did not find any." Abu Hanifa said, "It is the same whether he found or did not find them."
