[Machine] I heard Abu Umamah Al-Bahili say: when the Prophet ﷺ was sent, the allies of Satan came to him and said, "The Prophet of Allah has been sent and his people have come out." Satan said, "Do they love the worldly life?" They replied, "Yes." Satan said, "If they love it, I do not care if they do not worship idols. They will never be able to escape from me. I will tempt them with three: taking wealth unlawfully, spending it inappropriately, and withholding what is due. All evil will follow from this."  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيَّ يَقُولُ لَمَّا بُعِثَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَتْ إِبْلِيسَ جُنُودُهُ فَقَالُوا قَدْ بُعِثَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ وَخَرَجَتْ أُمَّتُهُ فَقَالَ إِبْلِيسُ أَيُحِبُّونَ الدُّنْيَا؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ لَئِنْ كَانُوا يُحِبُّونَهَا مَا أُبَالِي أَنْ لَا يَعْبُدُوا الْأَوْثَانَ إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يَنْفَلِتُوا مِنِّي وَأَنَا أَغْدُو عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَرُوحُ بِثَلَاثٍ أَخْذِ الْمَالِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَقِّهِ وَإِنْفَاقِهِ فِي غَيْرِ حَقِّهِ وَإِمْسَاكِهِ عَنْ حَقِّهِ وَالشَّرُّ كُلُّهُ لِهَذَا تَبَعٌ
