[Machine] He informed him that he heard Amr ibn Al-'As saying on the pulpit, "By Allah, I have never seen a people who desire what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ abstained from, as much as you desire the world. And indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to abstain from it. By Allah, there has not passed through the Messenger of Allah ﷺ three days from his entire life except that he had more than what he needed."  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ «وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُ قَوْمًا قَطُّ أَرْغَبَ فِيمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَزْهَدُ فِيهِ مِنْكُمْ تَرْغَبُونَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَكَانَ يَزْهَدُ فِيهَا وَاللَّهِ مَا مَرَّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ إِلَّا وَالَّذِي عَلَيْهِ أَكْثَرُ مِنَ الَّذِي لَهُ»
