Most hopeful verse in the Quran
ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbbās met ʿAbdullāh b. al-ʿĀs and he asked Ibn ʿAbbās: Which āyah in the Book of Allah is the most hopeful to you? He said: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah." (Zumar 39:53). Then he said: But the statement of Ibrāhīm "Do you not believe? He said, Indeed, but I wanted to satisfy my heart." (Baqarah 2:260)
