[Machine] "We were in the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic era) when a boy was born to us, we would slaughter a sheep for him, shave his head, and rub his head with its blood. But when Islam came, we would slaughter a sheep for him, shave his head, and rub his head with saffron."  

الحاكم:٧٥٩٤أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ السَّيَّارِيُّ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

«كُنَّا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِذَا وُلِدَ لَنَا غُلَامٌ ذَبَحْنَا عَنْهُ شَاةً وَحَلَقْنَا رَأْسَهُ وَلَطَّخْنَا رَأْسَهُ بِدَمِهَا فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْإِسْلَامُ كُنَّا إِذَا وُلِدَ لَنَا غُلَامٌ ذَبَحْنَا عَنْهُ شَاةً وَحَلَقْنَا رَأْسَهُ وَلَطَّخْنَا رَأْسَهُ بِزَعْفَرَانٍ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح على شرط البخاري ومسلم
