[Machine] "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed us to seek information through observation with our eyes and ears." It was narrated by Sufyan Ath-Thawri and Shu'bah from Salamah bin Kuhail from Hujayyah bin Adi.  

الحاكم:٧٥٣٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَتَّابٍ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَنْبَأَ وَهْبُ بْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ عَلِيًّا عَنِ الْبَقَرَةِ؟ فَقَالَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ قَالَ مَكْسُورَةُ الْقَرْنِ؟ قَالَ لَا تَضُرُّكَ قَالَ الْعَرْجَاءُ؟ قَالَ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْمَنْسَكَ قَالَ

«وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ الْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ» رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَشُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ
