[Machine] Mu'asabu al-Habr is the son of 'Umayr ibn 'Ubaid ibn Hashim ibn 'Abd Manaf ibn 'Abd ad-Dar ibn Qusayy. He is the reciter (of the Quran) whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to the Ansar to recite the Quran to them in Madinah before the arrival of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He embraced Islam with him, along with many other people, and he participated in the Battle of Badr.  

الحاكم:٦٦٣٨حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

«مُصْعَبٌ الْحَبْرُ هُوَ ابْنُ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ هَاشِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الدَّارِ بْنِ قُصَيٍّ هُوَ الْمُقْرِئُ الَّذِي بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْأَنْصَارِ يُقْرِئُهُمُ الْقُرْآنَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَبْلَ قَدُومِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَسْلَمَ مَعَهُ خَلْقٌ كَثِيرٌ وَشَهِدَ بَدْرًا»
