[Machine] Utbah and Ubaydah had a disagreement, each one of them struck the other twice. Both of them sought the help of their companions, and Hamzah and Ali supported Utbah and killed Ubaydah. They then carried Ubaydah, whose leg had been severed and his brain was leaking, to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . When they brought Ubaydah to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he asked him, "Aren't you a witness, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Yes." Ubaydah then said, "If Abu Talib were alive, he would know that we are more deserving of what he said about us in Al-Bahr Al-Thuyl. We handed him over until he was killed in his vicinity, and we were left helpless regarding our children and properties." Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summarization.
