[Machine] Narrated by Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was with her when a man from the household greeted us while we were in the house. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stood up abruptly and I followed him. Then, I saw the dog's barking and the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "This is Gabriel who has commanded me to go to the Banu Qurayzah tribe." He said, "You have put down your weapons, but we have not sought the idolaters until we reached the "asad al-Hamra" (a specific place)." This happened when the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, returned from the Battle of the Trench. The Prophet, peace be upon him, stood up abruptly and said to his companions, "I have determined that you should not pray the Asr prayer until you have reached the Banu Qurayzah tribe." The sun had set before they could reach them. Some of the Muslims said, "The Prophet did not intend to abandon the prayer, so let us pray it." Some of the Muslims said, "We are determined to follow the Prophet, peace be upon him, and we are free from sin." Some of them prayed with faith and seeking reward, while others refrained. The Prophet, peace be upon him, did not blame anyone from the two groups. Then, the Prophet, peace be upon him, went out and passed by their gathering place to the Banu Qurayzah tribe and asked them, "Has anyone passed by you?" They said, "A dog's barking passed by us on a grayish mule with a saddle made of wool." He said, "That was not a dog's barking, but it was Gabriel who was sent to the Banu Qurayzah tribe to disturb and instill fear in their hearts." The Prophet, peace be upon him, besieged them and ordered his companions to hide behind the rocks until they could hear his words. He called them, "O brothers of monkeys and pigs." They responded, "O Abal-Qasim, was it necessary to use this harsh term?" He besieged them until they surrendered to the judgment of Sa’d bin Mu’adh. They were ordered to be killed and their wealth, children, and women were taken as captives.
