[Machine] The people of Mecca asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a sign, and the moon was split in Mecca twice. Allah (the Exalted) said, "The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split" [Al-Qamar 54:1].  

The two sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim) agreed on the hadith from Shu’bah through Qatadah from Anas that the moon was split during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .
الحاكم:٣٧٦١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الزَّاهِدُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

سَأَلَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ آيَةً فَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ بِمَكَّةَ مَرَّتَيْنِ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ {اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ} [القمر 1] قَدِ اتَّفَقَ الشَّيْخَانِ عَلَى حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ  

وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِسِيَاقَةِ حَدِيثِ مَعْمَرٍ وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا وفي الصحيحين حديث قتادة عن أنس انشق القمر على عهد رسول الله ﷺ
