[Machine] I asked Ibn Abbas, "What does Allah Almighty mean by 'and offer him aid' [Surah Al-Fath, verse 9]?" He replied, "It refers to striking with the sword in front of the Prophet ﷺ."  

الحاكم:٣٧١٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ ثنا إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنِي مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَأَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَا قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى {وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ} [الفتح 9] ؟ قَالَ «الضَّرْبُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِالسَّيْفِ»
