hakim:2973Abū Bakr b. Dāwud > ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn b. Junayd > Sūwayd b. Saʿīd > al-Walīd b. Jundub > Bakr b. Khunays > Muḥammad b. Saʿīd > ʿUbādah b. Nusay > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Ghanm > Saʾalt Muʿādh b. Jabal

[Machine] According to the verse of Allah Almighty, "Alif Lam Meem. The Romans have been defeated" [Surah Ar-Rum, 30:2], did it say "Ghalabat" or "Ghulibat"? So the Prophet ﷺ said, "Read it for me, the Messenger of Allah, 'Alif Lam Meem. The Romans have been defeated'" [Surah Ar-Rum, 30:1]. "We did not write these two hadith except with this chain of narrators, except that Muhammad ibn Sa'id Ash-Shami is not from the condition of the book." Muhammad ibn Sa'id is the crucified and perished one, and Bakr ibn Khunays is abandoned.
