[Machine] Abu Al-Muwajih narrated that Abdan narrated that Abdullah narrated that Al-Mas'oodi informed and Ali ibn Hamshath Al-Adl narrated that Al-Harith ibn Abi Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Yazid bin Harun narrated that Al-Mas'oodi informed and Abu Sa'eed Amr ibn Muhammad ibn Mansoor Al-Adl narrated that Umar bin Hafs Al-Sadusi narrated that Aasim bin Ali narrated that Abdul Rahman bin Ubaidullah Al-Mas'oodi narrated from Abu Bakr bin Hafs from Abdullah bin Aamir bin Rabee'ah from his father (may Allah be pleased with him), who was present at the Battle of Badr. He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would send us on secret missions, and we would not have any provisions except dates, which we would divide handful by handful, until it became one date at a time." I asked, "O father, how is it possible that a date can sustain you?" He said, "Do not say that, O my son, for we did not count it as lost, so we relied on it when we needed it."
