[Machine] Abu said: When we met the people on the day of Badr, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, "If they throw at you with stones, then throw with nobility and excel in your nobility."
عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَا لَمَّا الْتَقَيْنَا نَحْنُ وَالْقَوْمُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا كَثَبُوكُمْ فَارْمُوا بِالنَّبْلِ وَاسْتَبْقُوا نَبْلَكُمْ»
Abu Usaid reported the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ as saying to us at the battle of Badr when he drew up in rows. When they came near you, shoot arrows at them, but do not use all your arrows.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حِينَ اصْطَفَفْنَا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ إِذَا أَكْثَبُوكُمْ يَعْنِي إِذَا غَشُوكُمْ فَارْمُوهُمْ بِالنَّبْلِ وَاسْتَبْقُوا نَبْلَكُمْ
[Machine] "When we met with the enemy on the day of Badr, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'On that day, when they deceive you, that is, when they try to deceive you, throw them with stones.' And I saw him saying, 'And compete with each other in throwing stones.'"
لَمَّا الْتَقَيْنَا نَحْنُ وَالْقَوْمُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَنَا إِذَا كَثَبُوكُمْ يَعْنِي غَشُوكُمْ فَارْمُوهُمْ بِالنَّبْلِ وَأُرَاهُ قَالَ وَاسْتَبْقُوا نَبْلَكُمْ
