[Machine] Marwan sent to Umm Maqil to ask her about this narration. She narrated that her husband made a vow to perform Jihad in the way of Allah, and she intended to perform Umrah. She asked her husband, who refused her request. So she came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned this to him. The Prophet ﷺ ordered him to give her what she requested and said, "Verily, Hajj and Umrah are from the ways of Allah, and verily, performing Umrah in Ramadan is equal to performing Hajj, or it is sufficient for Hajj."  

الحاكم:١٧٧٤حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ قَالَ

أَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ إِلَى أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ لِيَسْأَلَهَا عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثَتْ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا جَعَلَ بَكْرًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنَّهَا أَرَادَتِ الْعُمْرَةَ فَسَأَلَتْ زَوْجَهَا الْبَكْرَ فَأَبَى عَلَيْهَا فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُعْطِيَهَا وَقَالَ «إِنَّ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ مِنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً» أَوْ «تُجْزِئُ بِحَجَّةٍ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ

[Machine] Marwan sent a message to Umm Maqil al-Asadiyyah, asking her about this narration. She narrated to him that her husband made an oath to her in the way of Allah and that she wanted to perform Umrah. She asked her husband, the one who made the oath, but he refused. So she went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about it. He commanded her husband to fulfill the oath and said, "Hajj and Umrah are from the ways of Allah. Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj or it completes the Hajj, and a Hajj with good intention is equivalent to Hajj or it completes the Hajj."

أَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ إِلَى أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ يَسْأَلُهَا عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا جَعَلَ بَكْرًا لَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَأَنَّهَا أَرَادَتِ الْعُمْرَةَ فَسَأَلَتْ زَوْجَهَا الْبَكْرَ فَأَبَى فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُعْطِيَهَا وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْحَجُّ وَالْعُمْرَةُ مِنْ سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَقَالَ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً أَوْ تُجْزِئُ حَجَّةً وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ تَعْدِلُ بِحَجَّةٍ أَوْ تُجْزِئُ بِحَجَّةٍ

" عَنْ أُم مَعْقِلٍ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا جَعَلَ نَاضِحًا لَهُ في سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنَّهَا أَرَادَتِ الْعُمْرة فَسَأَلَتْه النَّاضِحَ فَأَبى أَنْ يُعْطِيهَا إِيَّاهُ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ فذكَرت ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ: أَعْطِهَا فإنَّ عُمرةً فِى رَمَضان تَعدِل حَجَّةً أَوْ تجزئُ بِحجة".
