[Machine] According to a narration that was narrated to me, I said, "Indeed, it is attributed to the Prophet ﷺ." He (the narrator) replied, "No, it is more beloved to us that if there is an increase or decrease [in the narration], it is attributed to someone other than the Prophet ﷺ."  

الدارمي:٢٧٤أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ

عَنْ حَدِيثٍ فَحَدَّثَنِيهِ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّهُ يُرْفَعُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا عَلَى مَنْ دُونَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْنَا فَإِنْ كَانَ فِيهِ زِيَادَةٌ أَوْ نُقْصَانٌ كَانَ عَلَى مَنْ دُونَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ»
