darimi:174Hārūn b. Muʿāwiyah > Ḥafṣ b. Ghiyāth > al-Aʿmash > ʿAbdullāh Ayyuhā al-Nās Innakum Satuḥdithūn And Yuḥdath Lakum Faʾidhā Raʾaytum Muḥdathah Faʿalaykum Bi-al-Amr al-Awwal

[Machine] Abdullah said, "O people, surely you will speak and you will be spoken to. So when you see something new, adhere to the original command." Hafs said, "I used to receive narration from Habib, who received it from Abu Abdur Rahman, then doubt entered my heart."  

الدارمي:١٧٤أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ قَالَ

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ سَتُحْدِثُونَ وَيُحْدَثُ لَكُمْ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مُحْدَثَةً فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَمْرِ الْأَوَّلِ» قَالَ حَفْصٌ كُنْتُ أُسْنِدُ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَنِي مِنْهُ شَكٌّ
