[Machine] Not every black kohl is this, indeed it is not forbidden but it is an adornment and we detest it and she said, "If you wish, I can apply kohl for you patiently," but I refused.  

البيهقي:٩١٣١أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ مَطَرٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِي عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ شُمَيْسَةَ قَالَتْ اشْتَكَتْ عَيْنِي وَأَنَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ فَسَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَنِ الْكُحْلِ فَقَالَتْ اكْتَحِلِي بِأِيِّ كُحْلٍ شِئْتِ غَيْرَ الْإِثْمَدِ أَوْ قَالَتْ

غَيْرَ كُلِّ كُحْلٍ أَسْوَدَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِحَرَامٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ زِينَةٌ وَنَحْنُ نَكْرَهُهُ وَقَالَتْ إِنْ شِئْتِ كَحَّلْتُكِ بِصَبِرٍ فَأَبَيْتُ
