[Machine] In it, I saw you when you were in Mecca, people would not announce sighting the new moon until the day of Troiyyah (the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah). Abdullah bin Umar said, "As for the crescent, I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ announcing sighting it until his mount, (a female camel) would be prepared with a pack sat on it."
فِيهِ وَرَأَيْتُكَ إِذَا كُنْتَ بِمَكَّةَ أَهَلَّ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوَا الْهِلَالَ وَلَمْ تُهِلَّ أَنْتَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَمَّا الْإِهْلَالُ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُهِلُّ حَتَّى تَنْبَعِثَ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ
