[Machine] That Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Al-Walid, the grandfather of Ayoub bin Salama, died of thirst during the time of Uthman Ibn Affan. He was in a state of ihram and did not cover his head.  

البيهقي:٦٦٥٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ جَدَّ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ تُوُفِّيَ بِالسُّقْيَا زَمَنَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يُخَمِّرْ رَأْسَهُ
